Warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Chicago' for 'CDT/-5.0/DST' instead in /backup/qa/www/sub/rss/product.php on line 32

I had a problem over several days with internet access. Things would be fine, then a Windows Update would auto- install and I would be off-line again. I would use a restore point and get running, only to have the update install again and sink my ship. My IT guru suggested a socket program, and I found yours. Installation and use was simple and straightforward. I'm back on the net all day today and keeping my fingers crossed. So far, so good.

I have been using home wireless and cable modem connecting my labtop to my company's network using at&t network client. For unknown reason(s), the connection became very unstable. The conection would drop in the mid of accessing network and I had to do things like "renewing ip address", "disable and enable network adapter", disconnect and connect the at&t network client including changing some settings in windows registry. It did not improve the situation. I began to suspect that my tcpip or socks could be corrupted. I searched the web for anything which could repair my tcp/ip. I came across this wonderful "xp tcp/ip", I downloaded and installed it. I was amazed that it solved my months old connectivity problem immediately after clicking two buttons. Not only it solved the connectivity problem, I also notice an improvement in accessing applications residing on remote server. Thank you very much. I would appreciate if the author of "xp tcp/ip" can share what windows registry entries it fixes. Once again, thank you!
